9/11, (2002)
Oil on Canvas, 96 x 120 inches

Spending more than six months to bring this creation to life, the artist spread his concern on global violence (terrorism) across a huge canvas layered with emotion and intensity. His concern took shape in the form of a painting titled “9/11”. The artist used sharp, jagged, monochromatic lines and colors to portray a blue sky for the unsuspecting mortals and towers. At the bottom right the towers shine in their glory, soon after sunrise.

Shape of twin towers stretch monochromatic line between two windows, dark and gray in color. A silhouette of a hand blazing red against the sky depicts the horrors of those momentary arrow like streak slashing across a portrayal of towers. Yellow and leafy green colors represent the Pentagon and Pennsylvania encircling the base of the structures. Along the side, between the towers, a cascade of blood and tears courses in a vertical line. The top of the canvas covered in pouring smoke and billowing flames, blackens the sky. Section of painting aftermath shows us a clear sky with a woman and child in the middle of a black field, symbolizing the grief. Wiped tears the cloth framed by red, white and blue. rescue uniforms under the flowers and the background reflects a field of candles.

The artist has dedicated to the victims of the tragic events of 9/11.
